Review: Duxtop Portable Induction Cooktop

Induction Cooktops are the new hottest thing out there right now, and I have never gotten the pleasure of owning one until I received this one by Duxtop. This burner is completely induction so you do need special pots and pans, but it is well worth it! Induction cooktops cook your food much faster, more evenly, and without emitting tons of heat into your home.

What are the features?

·         Uses 120 Volts, 15 Amps of electricity
·         Lightweight and compact for easy travel
·         Digital control panel makes for no guesswork
·         Built in count down digital timer for up to 170 minutes
·         10 temperature ranges from 140 degrees to 460 degrees Fahrenheit
·         6 foot cord
·         Auto pan detection will automatically shut the unit down after 60 seconds if no cookware is detected on the burner

My opinions on the product:

I am an avid cook, and I would consider myself to be a very good cook as well. I am very used to using my electric stove, which admittedly isn't very fast when it comes to boiling water for example. This Induction cooktop by Duxtop was so fast at boiling water I couldn't even believe it! This cooktop boiled water in well under three minutes  and was super easy to use. I appreciate the fact that this cooktop has a timer built right in, I’m used to having a timer on my oven but not my stove, I find this a very handy feature. I use this mainly when making things like rice or boiling eggs where timing is key.

The digital controls are very user friendly and make using this cooktop a breeze. There is no guesswork at all. With my traditional electric stove there are 6 temperature settings, but I never know exactly what temperature they are set at, with this induction cooktop I don’t have to worry about that.

I am so sold on this cooktop I want to recommend it to everyone in my family. I think I will buy a (super) early Christmas present for my mom and get her one! I believe I will now be using this more than my traditional stove. Get yours below:

Review: Duxtop Electric Burner

When cooking for a Holiday or large party we all could use another burner to help us out. With the Duxtop Electric Burner, I can have an extra burner for those busy cooking days. It’s also great to take with you when traveling or staying in a hotel.

What are the features?
·         1500 watt portable cast iron electric burner
·         Adjustable thermostat and heating indicator light
·         Durable cast iron plate with brushed stainless steel housing, built to last
·         Cool touch handle so it’s easy to move
·          Large heating plate to accommodate large pans
·         1 year warranty

This Duxtop Electric burner has been a wonderful addition to my home. I use this burner when I have to cook large meals and have several pots and pans going on my stove at once. This Duxtop electric burner heats up extremely quickly, and I can boil water in no time which I really appreciate.  The burner accommodates all different sorts of pan sizes, from really small to my largest pan with no problems.

I would definitely recommend bringing this burner with you when you’re traveling and staying in hotels. When we get to a hotel after a long day of travel we are always hungry, but room service can add up very quickly. If you bring this burner with you all you need to do is plug it in and you have a makeshift stove! You can cook anything that you want and for way less than it would cost you to order it from room service.

If you’re looking for a versatile electric burner at a very reasonable price, you need to check out this Duxtop burner. Get yours below:

Review: Ouddy Silicone Pastry Brushes

Cooking and baking are my two favorite things to do, and with the Ouddy Silicone Pastry Brushes I am now able to infuse delicious flavor into my food. Silicone pastry brushes are much better than traditional basting brushes because they are heat resistant and dishwasher safe.

What are the features?
  • Made of 100% pure food grade Silicone
  • Microwave, Freezer, Oven, and Dishwasher safe
  • This is heat resistant from -40 degrees to 446 degrees
  • Stain and odor resistant
  • These are dishwasher safe, so they are extremely easy to clean
I have used both of these brushes not only for baking, but for general cooking as well. I love the Ouddy Silicone Pastry Brushes for lightly brushing butter on a Croissant or a glaze on a Donut. I also appreciate the fact that I can use these brushes to baste a Turkey or Chicken. These brushes are very multi-purposed.

The brushes themselves are made of a very high quality Silicone, I appreciate the fact that they are heat resistant so I am able to baste my foods while they are still in the oven to save myself a step. The bristles on the Ouddy Brushes are quite densely packed which is great for picking up a lot of glaze or whatever you are using.

The Ouddy Silicone Pastry Brushes would make a great addition to anyone's household. Get yours below:

Review: Ozera 8 Cavity Silicone Donut Pan

I love cooking and baking, so I’m always looking for new kitchen gadgets to try out. I recently received the Ozera 8 Cavity Silicone Donut Pan, and I have been very impressed. This pan is made of food grade Silicone and is perfect for making baked donuts which are more healthy than traditional fried donuts.

What are the features?
·         100% food grade Silicone
·         100% BPA free
·         Heat resistant
·         Can withstand temperatures from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 446 degrees Fahrenheit
·         Non stick
·         Cleans easily in the dishwasher
·         Dishwasher, Freezer, Refrigerator and Microwave safe

To make baked donuts I used a traditional cake mix and sprayed the molds. Then I poured in a little mix into each cavity and topped with the “lid”. I let them bake in the oven and once they were finished I had super cute mini donuts. I loved this we used them  while making christmas cookies as something else to decorate and it was a blast for my family and I. These Silicone Donut Molds are very versatile.

I had absolutely no problems when removing my donuts from the molds, they popped out in a flash with nothing sticking whatsoever. When I put my donuts in the oven I placed the Silicone molds on a traditional cookie sheet since the silicone is very bendable I didn’t want to spill any batter. This worked beautifully and I would recommend this set to anyone.
