I am a licensed Esthetician and Makeup Artist, and whenever I get clients that come in to me for facials I hear two things, their skin is dry and they want brighter, more youthful skin. The gold in the serum looks absolutely beautiful in the bottle as well as on the skin. It is said that gold can help with anti-aging benefits such as loss of elasticity and loss of collagen. I have noticed that my skin has been much more soft and supple since using this serum. I actually tested this serum out by applying it on one of my cheeks and not the other. I let that sink in for about an hour then I felt my skin. The cheek where the serum was applied was noticeably softer and looked more well hydrated. I really enjoy this product. The only down side for me is the scent. It’s supposed to smell of Rose extract according to the Amazon page, but it smells exactly like strong baby powder to me. It’s not that big of a deal I can still stand it and especially since the serum is so great I don’t mind too much. This serum would be great for all skin types even oily or acne prone. To use this cleanser I wet my face with warm water and administered a small amount of this product into my fingertips. I then worked it into a lather and applied it to my face, neck, and decolletage. This product feels great when it’s on your skin I can really tell that it’s getting rid of all of the excess dirt and oil. Once I cleansed my skin, I washed off the cleanser with cool water to close my pores, then I toned and applied moisturizer. My skin immediately felt extremely soft and smooth and looked slightly more radiant.

I suffer from extremely dry skin all year round, so when I saw a cleanser that had AHAs in it, but didn't lather when you add water I knew I had to have it. I find this product to be very ingenious because we people with dry skin want exfoliation as well. Most cleansers that I have found with any kind of exfoliating ingredients get very bubbly and strip all added moisture right out of my skin. The Michael Todd True Oganics Cleanser rinses clean but doesn't leave my skin more dry than when I started.

To use this cleanser I simply wet my face with warm water, add some cleanser to my fingertips and work it right in to my skin. I sometimes use an exfoliating brush when cleansing just depending on how dry and flaky my skin is that day. I  then rinse, let my skin air dry, tone, and apply my favorite serums and moisturizers.

This cleanser has made my skin feel much more soft, and it looks very bright. I have honestly noticed that I don’t wear ANY foundation at all anymore unless it’s a special occasion like Christmas dinner or something. I would recommend this cleanser to anyone that wants to have bright youthful looking skin without having their skin dry out.

I have recently been using the Avie Duckery's Best 8 Pack Bamboo/Cotton Baby Washcloths and I absolutely love them. These are marketed to be cloth wipes for changing your baby, but I have been using them as regular washcloths for myself. A few notes about what you will experience:

• Your skin may get pink or red, this is normal. A pink or red flush is actually a good thing, this means the blood is to the surface of your skin and once the color subsides, you will see a bright glow!
• Always I repeat, always, use a sunscreen every single day. This will prevent major sun damage to your skin.

The Michael Todd True Organics Wild Berry Peel has worked wonders on my skin. I suffer from extremely dry and sometimes flaky skin, and since I have been using this peel it has felt much softer and been very bright. I get all kinds of compliments on my skin lately. When I take clients for facials they say, "You're definitely in the right business, your skin looks amazing".

This peel comes in a great pump bottle which I love, that way you can easily administer exactly the correct amount of peel, and you aren't wasting anything. The peel itself is a thick gel consistency so it's not running all over your face, and it has a very mild scent. To me it smells somewhat of Cayenne Pepper, however that is not an ingredient in the peel.

Review: Beautonics Derma Roller

As a licensed Esthetician and Makeup Artist, I am always trying different things to achieve glowing, beautiful skin. With the Beautonics Derma Roller I can achieve just that. 

The Beautonics Derma Roller is a device that has 192 1.0mm Titanium Microneedles attached to a roller that you use on your face or body. The microneedles will pierce your skin and make tiny little needle pricks which will increase your product absorption by 1.000 percent.

What is Derma Rolling and what will it do for my skin?

Derma Rolling is the process of causing a controlled trauma to the skin to induce new collagen growth. Derma rolling creates micro channels into your skin causing the growth of new tissue, which can be great for achieving youthful looking skin. It will also greatly help the penetration of your skincare products, it is best to use your best serum and moisturizer immediately following a derma rolling session. 

Derma Rolling improves:

• Uneven pigmentation 
• Scars
• Stretch marks
• Sun Spots
• Acne 
• Fine Lines
• Deep wrinkles
• Loose Skin

How do I properly Derma Roll my skin?

• Cleanse your skin thoroughly using your normal cleanser
• Let your skin air dry
• Take the Derma Roller and choose an area to start with (I start on my chin)
• Roll the Derma Roller in a star pattern 6 times horizontally, 6 times vertically, 6 times vertically. This ensures that you are getting the maximum benefit and every area of your face is being derma rolled. A back and forth roll counts as two rolls.
• Repeat this step all the way over your entire area to be treated. Do not skip any areas, be careful when you get closer to your eyes and use slightly less pressure.

Some notes from a professional:

• Use a medium pressure when derma rolling at all times. This will not be effective if the microneedles do not penetrate your skin. If you feel that you are unable to use a medium pressure on yourself, have it professionally done, or use a topical numbing agent like Lidocaine. 
• Yes, it will be uncomfortable.
• Yes, you may have some pinprick bleeding.
• When you are done derma rolling your skin you will feel like you have a sunburn.
• Use this time to apply your best products, your skin needs it!
• ALWAYS apply a sunscreen when going out after derma rolling.

The Beautonics Derma Roller is a very high quality Derma Roller. I appreciate the fact that the handle is curved, it makes the rolling a little bit easier and more comfortable for my hands. The needles are evenly spaced, and a 1.0mm is a great length needle for my skin. I have been using this every other week for about a month now, and I see that my skin is much brighter, it feels more firm, and some of my hyperpigmentation is going down. 

I would recommend the Beautonics Derma Roller to anyone that has dull, saggy skin or wrinkles. This would greatly help with proper use! Please see my directions, or look up instructions online before using this on yourself.
